Explanatory notes for cabinet identification
Materials
Thermoplastics (PC)
PC are linear polyesters derived from carbonic acid and bisphenol with fire retardant additives, UV filter and colour pigment RAL 7035. The material is very flexible with excellent mechanical attributes, good thermal resistance, excellent dimensional stability, hardly flammable (class B) with self-extinguishing capacity pursuant to UL 94-VO and is toxically harmless. It is not attacked by rot and microorganisms. It is highly resistant to climatic conditions. If exposed to UV radiation, PC turns yellow, while its physical attributes remain unaffected.
As a protection against yellowing, the surface finish of the cabinets is enriched with a UV filter.

Thermoset (SMC)
Thermoset compounds are glass fibre reinforced composite materials based on unsaturated polyester resins. The cured material is rigid, harmless, resistant against static and dynamic stress, hardly flammable (class B) with self-extinguishing capacity pursuant to UL 94-VO. At long-term exposure to climatic effects the external resin layer is worn down and the glass fibre is bared. Any change of appearance has no impact on mechanical rigidity and electrical attributes. All products are supplied painted with the basic colour shade RAL 7035.

Concrete skeleton + doors made of thermoplastics (PC)
A cabinet skeleton made of thin-walled concrete and reinforced with glass fibre. The concrete skeleton is harmless and hardly flammable (class A). It absorbs air humidity and complies with requirements for outdoor use and the effects of frost, without any negative impact by chemical and defrosting substances or aggressive waters.
